Gabriel’s visit to UK 2025

Gabriel made his biannual visit to the UK in 2025 from Mid-October to just before Christmas. This year he did not visit supporters in Germany however made full use of his time travelling the length of the country from Worthing in the south to Inverness in the north and Belfast in the west. His time included visiting churches, schools, Bible Colleges, small groups and meeting individuals, speaking to existing supporters and meeting new churches and individuals. He partnered with a male voice singing group for a concert in Glasgow. Planes, trains and automobiles were utilised throughout.

He also had some health check-ups and we thank both West End Optical in Paisley and Broomknoll Dental Care in Airdrie for providing these.

It was a joy to have him with us and hear first-hand the news from Luwero. Many gifts were given including Football tops for the school from the Scottish National stadium and also various gifts from Sponsors for the children. Miraculously his vastly expanded luggage accrued no extra cost and all 4 cases arrived safely back in Uganda with Gabriel on 23rd December.

During his visit Gabriel received many financial gifts from groups and individuals. Some were  given for specific areas of the work and some for general use. We express our great appreciation and gratitude to all for these. May God bless you all for your generosity.

Family and Ugandan News

Deborah looked after the projects while Gabriel was away. Both Deborah and Peggy have been unwell recently but are better now.

January saw national elections in Uganda with internet blackouts affecting daily life. Deborah, Pricilla, Gabriella, Debbie and Peggy are all delighted to have Gabriel back at Luwero with them.

Schools

All the Sponsor Children received their Christmas gifts prior to breaking up for the holidays

Exam results have been received for the primary school and are excellent. 46 P7 took exams, 22 achieved the highest grade 1 and 24 grade 2 passes. No lower grades or failures, a great achievement! The new school term should commence on 10th February.

The boy and girl dormitories for Secondary School are almost done with only plumbing painting and electrical works to be completed.

Farm

It has been very hot in Luwero recently and most of the recent Maize crop did not survive. They have harvested where possible. Rain is desperately required for the new crops being sown soon

Church

On his return Gabriel was straight back into work with Christmas celebrations and year end Crusades, an all-night prayer meeting and the funeral of a neighbour. On the last Sunday of January time was spent praying for all Church Leaders and School teachers.

Planning and preparations are underway for the Pastors and Leaders conference and the Holiday Club that will take place in May.

Points for Prayer

  • For the country as a whole for peace following recent elections
  • For the Family Health and ongoing treatments
  • For the new School term for the teachers and all the pupils
  • For much needed rain and an abundant harvest at the Farm
  • For those working on the upcoming Conference and Holiday club plans
